DMU、GBS 和 Herdsman 3 个软件育种值估计的比较

摘 要:猪育种管理软件为猪育种工作和养猪场的管理提供了便利,育种值估计是育种管理系统的核心。但在实际应用中,不同软件育种值估计不一致给一线育种工作者带来了困扰。本研究选取国内广泛使用的GBS、Herdsman育种管理软件和科学研究中常用的DMU程序,以大白猪、长白猪和杜洛克猪的育种数据和模拟数据为材料,研究3款软件估计育种值之间的差异。结果表明:在数据和遗传评估模型及初始参数一致的情况下,DMU4和GBS由于采取相同的算法,估计育种值一致性高达0.99以上,DMU5育种值估计与DMU4高度一致;DMUAI基于约束极大似然方法,在相同条件下育种值估计准确性略高于DMU4和GBS;由于模型和初始参数未知,本研究Herdsman育种值估计与GBS和DMU 一致性偏低。但鉴于Herdsman算法与DMU4和GBS 一致,可以预测在相同模型下,GBS、Herdsman与DMU育种值估计应无差异。研究同时表明,软件对遗传评估评估结果影响不大,主要是具体遗传评估模型的配置。

Comparison of Breeding Value Estimation by DMU, GBS and Herdsman

Abstract: The breeding and management in pig farm can benefit from professional software, which are helpful to upgrade pig breeding in China. Generally, breeding value estimation is the core among these breeding software, while the inconsistence of estimated breeding values (EBVs) of same animals from different software always confused animal breeders. Therefore, we investigated three popular software, DMU, GBS and Herdsman using pig breeding data and simulated data. Our results showed that the EBVs obtained from DMU4 were as highly as 0.99 correlated with those from GBS in the same scenario, as these two programs share same algorithm to estimate breeding value. DMU5 kept high consistence with DMU4. DMUAI generated higher accuracy in EBV than GBS and DMU4 as REML algorithm is implemented in DMUAI. Although EBVs from Herdsman were very low correlated with those from DMU and GBS, theoretically, Herdsman is supposed to has high consistence with DMU and GBS in same scenarios due to their common algorithm. Our results also indicated that breeding software do not take significant effect on the breeding value estimation, the model for genetic evaluation played more important role on the inconsistence of EBV.
